~ Brother Larry Jackson ~

It is with sorrow that we announce the loss of one of our own.  We were informed by Elder Sandra Jackson(sister) that Brother Larry Jackson went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Brother Larry served in the Bishop's Choir for many years as a faithful member in the Tenor section. He also served as the Tenor Section Leader of the Bishop's Choir. He will be missed by all who knew him.  

Here are the details for the celebration of his life:

Please excuse this late notice but I felt compelled to ask our current members to join me in PRAYER for one of our beloved volunteers, Lady Rentha Price and a former member Angela Scull who are both in critical condition fighting for their lives. WE believe the prayers of the righteous availeth much - and when the righteous cry out, the Lord will deliver!

I also wanted to have a brief moment to talk with our current volunteers regarding our Open Call on Saturday which I am excited to see all of you there!

So please join me, with some of our PHAM team on this brief prayer call tomorrow evening. We are going to speak only faith and not fear - knowing that God is in control!

This is a reminder email for all of those called to serve in this season with our Potter's House Arts and Music Department. Make sure you register at the link below.

With that said, here are a few IMPORTANT things to note about our return: 

1️⃣ What is the process of returning?

• We have completely wiped our rosters clean. Yes, that means if you feel called to serve in this season and have a desire to be a part of the PHAM ministry you will need to come to our Open call/Orientation

2️⃣ When is the Open Call/Orientation?

• March 12, 2022, at 10 am is the set date. You will need to fill out this register link –

• We will be located in the ballroom.

3️⃣ Who needs to attend the Open Call – Orientation?

• All singers, dancers, actors, who would like to serve with PHAM and/or any of our other music and art entities (i.e. Firehouse, The Wheel).

4️⃣ What if I have already been serving, do I still need to attend, and audition?

• Yes!

• We want to re-acquaint ourselves with our members and ensure we are engaging those who feel a call to serve in this season!

**PHAM LIVE Worship Segment**

**Sunday, 12/6. @ 9:00am**

Hey PHAM

I told you I had some good news for you! With much deliberation and careful planning, we are going to tape a worship set on the parking lot of the church! YES! You get to come to the church (outside) and participate in creating a worship set for Sunday morning. So READ these instructions carefully and FOLLOW these instructions!

When will this Happen?

On Sunday, Dec. 5th our department will participate in a taping for our Sunday morning service. Those participants will enter into the Potter's House main parking lot and be directed to a parking space, leaving at least one space between cars. The parking lot will open for participants at 9am. YOU MUST ARRIVE BEFORE 10am are you will not be let on the parking lot!

What Will Happen?

Our TV Production team will record us on the parking lot engaged in worship and praise. Each participant MUST remain next to their vehicle, either standing on the driver side, passenger side or directly in front of their bumper. There will be NO engagement of other persons on the parking lot! (only in our waving to each other and "air" hugs are acceptable)

What Will We Do?

Participants will WORSHIP! We will sing, praise and dance (at your car) as our TV team tapes the excitement and enthusiasm of hundreds of people singing and showing the world that worship can happen anywhere. Below are the three songs we will do:

2. Go to the link and REGISTER today!

3. Pull up the music and start to learn it and get familiar with it. (even if you are not a "singer" and participate in dance or drama we want you to come and worship as well!)

4. Download the waiver form, fill it out and put it in your car so you don't forget it

5. FIND YOUR BADGE and have it with you when you come to church (just like old times)

6. Keep listening to the music

7. MOST IMPORTANT! Pray that God use us to shake this world and show this world what uninhibited worship and praise looks like (and you can ask him for some good weather too...)

Dear PHAM Volunteer

Happy New Year and Happy Double Portion Decade! As we prepare to enter another successful year of ministry, we want to prepare our hearts and minds for all that God will do through us and with us. As a tithe and commitment to God, we are taking the month of January to re-focus, re-align, and re-dedicate ourselves to the work of the ministry. Our ministries will not be serving or rehearsal but meeting each week for our service sessions.

Below are the dates of our Potter’s House Arts and Music Service Session. These are mandatory sessions for all those who plan to volunteer in the PHAM department this year. If you have a conflict with one of the session dates, please notify your ministry lead.

Happy New Year Potters House Arts and Music Department!

Happy New Year to all of you! 2019 is going to be a year of Victory for us! 

As in keeping in step with our Bishop, we will be taking the month of January to focus on teaching and training. Before we enter back into our regular service activities, we want to use this month as a tithe to the Lord and give it back to Him. As an Arts and Music ministry, we want to use this month to cast vision, engage culture and set expectations. These will happen in (3) mandatory sessions for all Potters House Arts and Music Ministry staff volunteers:

• • • • • • • Saturday, January 12 – 10-11:30am (The Heart of Service)

            • Thursday, January 17th – 7-8:30pm (The Art of Service)

            • Saturday, January 26th - 10–11:30am (Depart to Serve)

All active Potters House Arts and Music volunteers are expected to be in attendance. We will have no other rehearsals during these weeks as these sessions will be the only activities set for volunteers. Roll will be taken each week.

All Potters House Arts and Music Staff are expected to be in attendance.

Finally, I leave you with this passage from Ezekiel, as it becomes our goal and prayer to have a heart that responds to God!
