While all the episodes from Door-To-Door to Be All You Can Be were produced as a single season (On Production Seasons). The term Season 1 includes only a brief run in March 1993, before the show was temporarily taken off the air until the following May.
During this season, the show aired weekdays on MTV at three time slots, the earliest of which was at 6:30 AM (ET), right behind Speed Racer. The other time slots were noon and 7:00 PM, and these may have been repeats of the morning show. During the second week, the noon show was moved to 11:00 PM.
Episodes of this season were animated by J.J. Sedelmaier Productions. Digital ink and paint was done by USAnimation.
The reason the show was taken off the air after this run was that production was behind schedule and needed until May, 1993 to complete the remaining episodes.
This season featured only three original episodes. As filler, the two pilots by Mike Judge, Frog Baseball, and Peace, Love and Understanding aired as full episodes with music videos.
The episodes of this run had several characteristics never seen again after the show returned in May 1993.
Alternating playlists of music videos. When the show returned in May, each episode was given a fixed playlist.
Lack of a disclaimer at the beginning of a half-hour block (when the show returned in May, the disclaimer "Beavis and Butt-head are not real..." was introduced.)
Lack of commercial bumpers in most episodes.
Beavis occasionally wearing a Slayer T-shirt in lieu of his standard Metallica shirt.
Behind the couch view during music video segments, usually only lasting a few seconds.
Voice-over during the closing credits saying "Watch the fun as Beavis and Butt-head burn things and blow stuff up. Coming soon." or "We hope you've been enjoying Beavis and Butt-head's hilarious adventures! They'll be back this Spring with more mad-cap fun... on MTV!"
Occasional cold open
Previews of the second episode in the half hour block, such as scrolling text that read "Coming up next... Beavis and Butt-head play 'Frog Baseball'" and “Coming up next… Beavis and Butt-Head go 'Door-To-Door'”
General lack of structure. The same episode would sometimes re-air with scenes out of order.
