Meet the real stars of The Bauman Barn—our animals, our coworkers, and our chaos creators.

Around here, it’s not just veggies that grow. Our farm is home to a small but mighty crew of sassy, fluffy, and feathered personalities who keep us laughing, on our toes, and occasionally chasing them through the garden.

🐾 Porter & Delta

Our resident farm dogs, shadow chasers, and world-class weirdos—wrapped up in a pair of beautifully, freckled German Short-haired Pointers.

🐶 Porter is our 12-year-old neurotic gentleman who specializes in whining at reflections, obsessing over shiny things, and demanding treats just for existing. He’s a bit high-strung, a lot dramatic, and 100% convinced he deserves a cookie every time he wakes up (he’s not wrong).

👑 Delta is our 7.5-year-old dock-diving diva who weighs 50 pounds but swears she’s a delicate 5-pound lap dog. She sleeps in a king-sized bed, enjoys private open-swim all summer, and will happily convince strangers she’s mistreated—just before doing a cannonball into the pool.

💬 They guard the farm, herd the goats (emotionally, not physically), and fill every day with equal parts chaos and cuddles.

🐐 Goats (a.k.a. The Escape Artists)

We raise Boer/Kiko goats, and they’re equal parts adorable and unruly.
Whether they’re peeking over fences, making surprise appearances in the driveway, or demanding snacks with dramatic bleats—there’s never a dull moment. All our doe's are named after songs, if you are to take a listen, here is The BB's  G.O.A.T. playlist.

💬 Farm Favorite: Danny Zuko, the goat with too much swagger and zero chill. 

🐐 Valerie

The undisputed queen of The Bauman Barn. A 100% New Zealand Kiko and our original goat mama, Valerie rules the roost with calm confidence and a heart full of snacks. She’s raised multiple generations here, including her daughter Ophelia and this year’s greasers, Danny Zuko & Kenickie. She’s the first to greet you at the gate and the last to say no to treats.

🐐 Zeke

The baby daddy of the barnyard, Zeke is our 100% Boer buck who thinks he's more golden retriever than goat. He’s sweet, gentle, and just wants belly rubs—unless you’re holding snacks. Then all bets are off. Proud papa to nearly every kid on the farm (except Ophelia), he’s the reason our babies are so darn cute.

🐐 Jolene (Jojo)

She may be named after a heartbreak anthem, but Jojo is breaking hearts just by being gorgeous. This 100% Kiko beauty queen has the looks of a supermodel and the personality of a shadow—she’s elusive, elegant, and not impressed by your snacks. Mama to Taylor Swift.

🐐 Delilah

Quiet, gentle, and just a little shy, Delilah is the sweetheart in the shadows. A 100% Kiko with a soft soul, she’s not the first to approach but will melt your heart when she does. Though her kids didn’t make it this season, she’s still a cherished member of our herd with a special place in our hearts.

🐐 Ophelia

Valerie’s mini-me with a little more spice, Ophelia is a 100% New Zealand Kiko and proud mama to twins Holli & Chevy. She’s second-in-command in the sweetness department, always ready for a head scratch (if treats are involved). She’s also the only kid not fathered by Zeke—her mysterious lineage only adds to her charm.

🐐 Danny Zuko

Smooth, confident, and full of goatitude. Danny struts around like he owns the pasture, flipping imaginary hair and challenging fences to a duel. Twin to Kenickie and son of Valerie and Zeke, he’s got Greaser energy and matriarch-approved genetics.

🐐 Kenickie

The goofball of the bunch. Kenickie is always in Danny’s shadow but in a lovable, “I’ll eat your shoelace if you stand still” kind of way. He’s the kind of twin who accidentally headbutts himself into trouble. Equal parts mischief and mama’s boy.

🐐 Holli (Holiday Road)

The more fashionable of Ophelia’s twins, Holli is all about drama and photogenic angles. She can’t resist a camera—or a snack. She prances like a runway model and insists on being addressed by her full name at least once a day.

🐐 Chevy (Chevy Chase)

Class clown energy, all day long. Chevy is the comic relief of the barn—never where he’s supposed to be, often leaping off hay bales like a goat on Red Bull. Twin to Holli and always down for a snack and a stunt.

🐐 Taylor Swift

The quiet storm. Born to Jojo and already writing breakup songs in her head, Taylor Swift is dainty, dreamy, and a little dramatic. She’s often spotted striking a pose like she’s about to drop her next album: "Midnaps & Milk Replacers."

🐈 The Farm Cats (farm royalty)

Independent. Mysterious. Slightly judgy.
They keep the rodent population down and the drama high. If you spot one lounging in the sun looking like they run the place—it’s because they do. Meet Jude (Black & White), Jupiter (Black), & Nova (Tortoiseshell).

🐓 Chickens (the breakfast squad)

Our hens lay eggs when the mood strikes (which, to be honest, isn’t always).
They roam the yard, sass the goats, and occasionally perch in odd places they shouldn’t. We love them for their eggs and their entertainment value.

💬 Did someone say “farm fresh eggs”? Ours come with attitude.

🐖 Pig-Whisperer in Training

Our youngest farmhand, Bear, swears he speaks pig—and frankly, we believe him.
Pigs may not be at the farm full-time, but they're definitely part of our dream team.  They live rent-free in Bear’s imagination (and in our yearly plans).
