February 2026 Update

Congratulations to Jareli Pena-Salazar who qualified to participate in the Region 6 Junior Honor Band! Jareli is the first student from NMS to try out and make the band since 2019. Congratulations, Jareli! We are so proud of you!

This year, we have a student teacher joining us! Miss Taylor Clark is a senior Music Education Major at Newberry College, and will be with us until April 22. She will be taking over some classes as she makes her way to becoming a band director. We are so excited to have her with us this year!
