Lesson Protocol

To avoid a lesson cancellation or possible fee, please read all the information below

We run a very tight schedule and things need to go smoothly to accommodate everyone involved. Thank you for your cooperation.

1. Please be sure your student brings their learner's permit to the lesson! They can not drive without it and there is a $20 fee if they forget to bring it because the lesson is then cancelled.

2. When it is time for their lesson, keep an eye out for the arrival of our car. We use black Toyota Corollas in our fleet with magnets that say "student driver" and "The Ace Driving School". Please send your student over to our vehicle right away. If they do not come up to the car within 5 minutes, we leave to continue the lessons. If you're running late, call us ASAP. 3. Parents, instructors are on a firm timeframe so please do not come over to the vehicle for introductions or questions. All questions can be answered by calling or emailing us.

4. Instructors may be up to 15 minutes late for the pickup due to a student's current skill level, various pickup locations, or traffic. We will try to send you a text to notify you if the delay will be more than a few minutes. This will not affect your student's driving time. Please do not call unless we're running more than 15 minutes behind schedule and haven't contacted you.

5. For the general cleanliness and sanitation of our vehicles, students will not be allowed in the vehicle if they are sweaty from sports practice. To avoid a lesson cancellation and $20 fee, they will need to completely dry off and bring a change of clothes. Also, if you have pets, please have your student lint roll their clothing before getting in the vehicle! Some students are allergic to pet hair and dander.

6. No flip flops, slides, or slippers can be worn for driving, as this is not safe for beginning drivers. Students must wear secure shoes for lessons. There will be a $20 fee if improper shoes are worn because the lesson is then cancelled.

7. We do not allow any food or drinks in the vehicles except for water.

8. Observation hours are for observing and listening. This means no phones can be out in the car and students can not listen to music on earphones. Students are expected to listen and pay attention to what the instructor is saying, even when they are not driving.

9. You can expect your student to be dropped back off at the original pickup location approximately two hours after the lesson start time. If there is any change to the schedule we will notify you.

10. If you need to cancel a lesson, call or email us as soon as possible! If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice there is a $20 fee. If you cancel within 1 hour of the lesson start time there is a $30 fee. If your student does not show up to the lesson and doesn't notify us at all, there will be a $40 fee.
