The second tier of Greek Football
12 teams play each other twice (22 games)
1-6 qualify for promotion group with all points carried forward
7-12 qualify for relegation group with all points carried forward
Promotion & Relegation group are both 10 games
Promotion
Winner of Promotion Group automatically promoted
2nd place will play 13th in the league above to determine promotion
Relegation
Bottom 2 teams in relegation group go down
Other
There must be no more than 8 foreign players in the playing 11.
There must be no more than 5 non-EU players in the playing 11.
Youth contract players are not allowed to play
Maximum of 8 Non-EU Players
Maximum of 5 Non-EU Players (not including Under-23 players).
