I decided to create this fundraiser because I deeply care about the current issues arising in the country of Yemen. We are blessed to live in an era where educating yourself about issues is a choice, and you can use resources like social media to get informed. I hadn't heard about the ongoing crisis in Yemen at all, and that still shocks me. It's hard to believe that the news broadcasts videos of bears breaking into houses, (super cute, but still) but not an entire country in havoc. I was scrolling through Instagram stories a few weeks ago, and came across a thread of posts with information about Yemen. It pointed out that not many people know about what's happening in Yemen, because we are not being informed about what is happeining in Yemen.

Once I did a little research, I realized they truly need all the help they can get during these times. I brainstormed ways that could get the community involved, and create a profit of donations for various Yemen causes.

The idea of lemonade popped into my mind when I drove to Starbucks on a really hot day during a heat wave this summer. I believe I paid $5.60 for a small drink that took me less than 4 minutes to consume. I thought that if people, like myself, were willing to pay so much for a mere, tiny refresher, maybe people would be willing to pay a bit more for a cold, refreshing, pint-size lemonade in fun, custom jars. They are perfect for those hot days when you want to chill at home in your air conditioning and binge watch Friends, or for last-minute roadtrips to the Cape. Either way, I hope you love the product, and we can make a difference together!
