The mission of The "Work Smarter, Not Harder" Project is to empower all individuals, with a special focus on students and marginalized communities, by providing accessible education on workers' rights and labor laws. Through engaging presentations, events, and resources, we aim to foster awareness, advocate for fair labor practices, and equip people with the knowledge they need to navigate the workforce confidently and responsibly.

The "Work Smarter, Not Harder" Project began to address the lack of awareness about workers' rights among teens and marginalized communities, who are often exploited due to this knowledge gap. Inspired by our own experiences and the positive impact we saw during our initial outreach, we aim to provide accessible resources that empower individuals to understand and advocate for their rights in the workplace.
In the future, The "Work Smarter, Not Harder" Project aims to expand nationwide by building partnerships with community organizations and schools, empowering individuals to use our presentations independently to spread knowledge further.
We plan to establish a sustainable presence at UNM, recruit new members, and grow beyond our local efforts. Additionally, we aim to create interactive workshops, provide accessible resources, and support workers in need, ultimately building a network of empowered communities who understand their rights and actively work towards better workplace conditions.
