Meet Our Forest Guides

"For you created my inmost being: you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made: your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalms 139:13-14

Welcome to The Woods Forest School. We will be your child's daily guide. We will guide your child to discover new things, make connections, problem solve and take safe risks.

Hello! I am Jessica. The Owner and creator of The Woods Forest School. I began my career as a Preschool teacher in 2009 and fell in love with the kids. I decided to pursue a career in education and received a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Louisville. I began teaching in public education in 2014 where I received a Master's degree from WKU and taught for 5 consecutive years before staying home with my children. After COVID-19, I returned to public school and taught for one year, while I gathered together my plans for The Woods. I received my Forest School Teacher and Forest School Director certifications in the Spring of 2022.

Hi I’m Jessi, I’m a mom of two wild little boys. I am passionate about nature and spending time outdoors.  I graduated from WKU with a bachelors in marketing in 2016 and worked in corporate America prior to opening up a small business wig shop for women struggling with hair loss. I enjoyed working there for a few years before I answered my calling to stay home with my kids. Now I’m excited to join up with The Woods Forest School and encourage a love of nature and exploration for these little ones!

Hi there, my name is Sienna Graulich. I’m ecstatic to be joining the Woods Forest School team this fall. I am from Jacksonville, FL. I am an elementary school teacher. I have taught in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, and here in Kentucky. Teaching is my passion. I love seeing my students learn through exploring and playing in nature. I love teaching about conservation. I am a designer at heart and love crafting, especially designing shirts. I have a little boy named James Dean, who is 3 years old. I enjoy hiking with my husband, son, and dog in the many parks of Kentucky and Indiana. I also really enjoy kayaking on the lakes. I look forward to seeing all of your children in class!

Hello I am Ms. Alisia and I am looking forward to working with your children at The Woods Forest School.  I am a mother of 6 and grandmother of 10.  I am retired from 30 years of banking and 32 years of youth pastoring with my husband.  I also have 2 years experience as a teacher's aide in the Oldham County Schools.  Currently, I am also a Direct Support Professional with Heartfelt Solutions and work with friends with disabilities.  I am the oldest of 8, with Ms. Jessica being my baby sister.  I have lived on the Kerby Compound most of my life, and still do.  So I am very familiar with the forest and the area. I am CPR and first-aid certified as well.  I look forward to meeting each of you in the coming weeks.

Hi! I’m Erin Ruby, a middle school math teacher turned stay -at-home mom with two boys! I love to be outside and play with our 2 dogs. I’m excited to be subbing for The Woods Forest School!
