Scroll Blanks Competition

We are soliciting scroll blanks to enrich our barony’s awards for all her worthies! Stretch your creative legs for the honor and glory of the good populace of Ponte Alto. There is no design theme or time period assigned for this competition.

Parameters are as follows:

• Illumination only, please

• 4x6” of open space for calligraphy

• 1” margins around all sides

• Space for an awards badge

• Documentation is highly encouraged by not required

Categories: Novice (scribing for a year or less) and Experiences (more than a year of experience with illumination)

To submit your piece, please send a digital file with the image of the scroll along with your SCA name, mundane name, snail mail address, and phone number to moas@pontealto.atlantia.sca.org. Submissions are due by October 6. These can either be high quality pictures or scanned images. Detail shots are highly encouraged! Participants will be contacted directly to arrange collection of the blanks after the competition is done.
