Our Story

The White House Hotel Samoa started life as JTs Bar, the first sports bar and hotel in Samoa.

After a devastating cyclone the buildings fell into disrepair and were abandoned only to be followed by years of vandalism.

In 2017 the location was purchased by the Burgess Family and slowly restored.

Their vision has been to help educate and train local school leavers and solo mothers in hospitality & hotel restaurant management. The Goal of the White House is to train 100s of staff in hotel duties, restaurant skills, maintenance, construction and management. 

Many of the staff you meet will have left school at an early age to help feed their families, as a result employment opportunities are scarce. We aim to help them improve their social and professional skill sets and increase their employment opportunities.
