About Me

A Wee Bit About Me

Born in Awali, Bahrain, one has lived and worked predominantly in the Middle and Far East all one's life; from The GCC to Singapore and Malaysia, via North Africa, and of course some time in dear old blighty, The United Kingdom.

From an old Scottish expatriate family, with over two hundred years and multiple generations of family wandering across the regions, what choice did one have but to be an expatriate with a love of the GCC and Southeast Asia in particular.

And so, one has been privileged to have enjoyed a rich, diverse and rewarding life and career internationally.

For me English language training, alongside education and training, is a vocation, and as such one has been privileged to have perhaps both served and given something back, particularly in 'developing' regions, during one's career.

My Career Outline

I have been teaching English internationally for the best part of thirty years; predominantly to Arabian, Asian and European students.

For the last twenty plus years, since my post graduate qualifications, I have focused on teaching adult private, professional, and graduate, and corporate, clients.

I specialise in English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and English for Specialist Training, Occupational and Professional Purposes; and have exceptional experience internationally in successfully delivering various programmes and courses; from IELTS General and Academic, through specialist sector (such as aviation and technical), to specialist professional areas, such as medical, legal, and business English.

For organisational and corporate clients, I am able to offer an outstanding portfolio of services and solutions, ranging from specialist English language training consulting, through teacher and trainer training and development, to training design team management and materials production.

My English language training is complemented by my ability to deliver executive and professional training, learning and development programmes, courses, services, and solutions. So, from executive and business English, to professional areas such as project management, business communications, leadership development or commercial management, I have the ability to author and deliver integrated or stand alone, bespoke programmes and courses.

For all my clients, my objective is simple. To deliver high-impact, high-value, academically and professional robust English language and executive and professional training, learning and development to your bespoke requirements.
