While mages are not restricted with what they should wear, or what they should use, there are commonalities, or sometimes, standardizations on what mages tend to use.
It is common for mages in TSC to wear loose or baggy clothes to hide their thin stature, and some high level mages wear hoods or even wizard hats to hide their receding hairline. Because of this, the average mage tends to wear robes. Since they tend to be upper class than most people, these robes are often decorated with embroidered patterns, made of the most expensive items.
Magebooks are the most important part of a mage. This is to avoid mageseekers from detaining them, and to ensure their safety when traversing the world and its multiple institutions. Wealthy mages have their books stored somewhere, or have an assistant with them, bust most mages, especially on the graduate ranks, have their magebook.
A Manite Crystal, or simply called manite, is also important for a mage, as it stores their element. They are stored by a special arcana technique known as "essencification" by turning an element into its purest essence, which can be turned into a different spell later.
Manite, also known for its more academic name "Arcylite", or its colloquial name "Magic Orb", is a spherical glass-like object that contains essence of an element, like fire, air, or even life essence from organisms. Manite's interesting properties comes from how its essence seems to move faster and faster the more empty it is, and more static the more it seems to be full. Waves and swishes run circles inside the manite quickly, and moves slower the more essence gets put inside.
Manite is important as it can be used as a source container, especially when there are no available elements nearby. A pyromancer with an arcylite can still use magic even at night, and a sanamancer does not need to sacrifice nearby plants or animals to heal wounded people.
Interestingly enough, there is also certain reactions to what arcylites do when they are broken. Fire Arcylites combust into waves of fire that don't seem to give out any push of force. When Life Arcylites, used by Sanamancers, are broken, they empower or accelerate the growth of anything those around it. However, water and earth geocylites simply turn to their densest form when broken like ice and peridotite respectfully.
Manite is found in very rare areas underground, and are known to be scarce, so their prices are fairly high.

Mana Nullifier Crystals, more commonly referred to as "nullifiers", are glowing crystals that stop any user around it from using magic. These crystals do this by nullifying the mana flow around them, hence the name. Nullifiers are used by a variety of purposes, but its most common use is to stop mages from using magic.
Mage prisoners are often confined in cells with these crystals. These crystals are also popular as jewelry among the rich and Mage Hunters to ward off organic magic, such as Malumancy.
Prominent groups like the Order of the Holy Knights employ Mana Nullifiers to prevent shifters from using their abilities. The GEG use them as ornaments on their shields to defend against magic attacks by enemy mages.
Nullifier crystals are mined in areas that do not have mana flowing in them. This is often a sign that nullifier crystals are nearby. The most common type of nullifiers are green and orange ones, which in time, turn into red crystals the more they lose their energy, which oftentimes, take centuries.
Each nullifier color has a certain range and effectivity, with red being the least effective, and blue being the highest range. There is also a purple nullifier that is fairly radioactive, which affects mages significantly worse.
Purple Mana Nullifiers, also known as ‘Saint’s Crystals’ are a form of radioactive mana nullifiers that can bring some sort of pain and weakening effect on magic users such as Ekajian Races, and Mages. When a shifter is near this, they may experience pain, mild headaches, nausea, and iron deficiency. Further research is needed for this.
Instead of acting as a bubble that pushes out mana, it acts as a magnet that pulls mana in. This is dangerous, as if a mage is nearby, the mana is potent that it makes a mage grow their luxen lines.
NOTE: Saints Crystals are very rare however you do not need Executive Permission for them. Do keep in mind that you must have a good reason for having them though.
Vontur
Green Nullifiers here are the most common and also their most well known export. You can buy it here at a relatively low cost, but the red ones are often extremely cheap that smugglers buy them to the Outback.
Hreinngar
Though illegal, the kingdom has a large amount of yellow and orange nullifiers around its northern mountains.
Ravena
Apart from Dwarven Ore, Yellow Nullifiers are known to be present in these areas, which are often used by the Golden Eagle Guard.

The WATC has a lot of Nullifier types, but it comes at a slightly higher price than most countries.
Runed Weapons are weapons that have manite crystals attached to them. This gives them a dual purpose of storing elements, as well as providing additional uses when close combat is needed, or if the arconite has ran out of essence.
Wands are small wooden, or sometimes metal sticks, never longer than 10 inches, that have a small arcylite attached to its end that stores a limited amount of essence. This is perfect for beginner mages, or mages who wish to have a more concealed equipment.
Similar in nature to staffs, albeit smaller in size, rods and scepters are equipped by less powerful professional mages, such as military pyromancers, or embersmiths.
According to the Selyrian Mage Council, rods must range from more than 10 inches, but not exceeding 2 and a half feet, while scepters can go from 2.6 to 4 feet.
Staffs are the quintessential mage weapon of choice. Highly coveted and prized, a staff is not only a powerful tool, but a symbol of status. Being able to hold a bigger orb means being expected to cast more powerful spells. Staff serve multiple purposes. Mages that use this tend to be extremely powerful, and have incredible affinity, and staffs are there to help them walk and distribute the weight when standing.
Despite this, mages who use staffs are known to be very powerful, and are either feared, or respected.
Created by James Tulson, the Tulson Staff is a normal staff with a red nullifier attached to the bottom. This is commonly used when fighting against malumancers, as the threat of them being able to manipulate your body is high.
When defending, the user will typically put the nullifier part of the staff close to them, rendering them unable to use magic, but also protecting them from any magic attacks. When attacking however, they will put the nullifier part away, and bring the orb close to their body, so they could use their spells.
