My work trenches the depths of the mind, exploring themes of body, self-image, and memory under the surface. I navigate the transformative space between learning and unlearning through chaos and order, deconstruction, and construction. The Funny Bunny series originated from an eight-year-old's drawing, marked by the caption "Funny Bunny." This seemingly simple card catalyzed a profound exploration into the impacts of trauma. Beyond mere reproduction, the series delves into the complexities of self-image, memory recall, and the dynamics of the human body. The bunnies, initially a childhood drawing, transformed into sources of light-heartedness, offering a shield for navigating and revealing difficult experiences in my healing and self-exploration.
