Building Patient Centered Solutions
The Project focuses upon enabling and enhancing agency in the person with diabetes.
Refers to the technological project of gathering Data and Self Managing Diabetes. The sub-projects in this section are:
Is there another way to imagine and activate data for improved health outcomes of patients?
How can physical computing, hardware devices, and sensors be re-imagined to help people with diabetes?
Ecosystem of medications, insulin, and diets to simulate the functioning of a healthy pancreas.
Imagining wearables and Apps tailored for specific categories of people?
Refers to the ‘life style change’ that is required to address diabetes. To realise a weight loss, a body sensitive diet, an exercise regime and a reduction of harmful consumption. That said Care of the Self comes easy to some, that have discipline and the ability to take action towards future goals. It is however hard for others that do not have the mental self-discipline, or the ability to change their circumstances. The subprojects in this section are:
The care of the self imagined as a ‘way’ that is culturally constructed. A practice, a new tradition – thus new ways of doing many things.
CoDesign with patients a digital resource for self and carer management.
Speculative collaborative consumption - connecting People with Diabetes with Peers.
