Public transport

Bus

There is a bus service that runs from the crossroads just down the road (turn right as you leave the house), about 2 minutes away

On the side with a bus shelter, the bus goes hourly at around 9 minutes past the hour to Irvine and takes about 15 minutes

On the opposite (just a bus stop), the bus goes hourly at 39 minutes past the hour to Stewarton and takes about 15 minutes too

No buses run on Sunday

Train

Kilmaurs station is nearby and has trains to Glasgow every 30 minutes or so.  You can drive and leave your car there (free parking)

Irvine station is not far from the centre of Irvine, and has regular trains to Prestwick / Troon / Ayr and further, as well as trains to Glasgow in the other direction

Motorways

You can pick up the M77 motorway near Fenwick, and from there can proceed to the M8, M74 or M80 / M9
