Under the sink you will find washing tablets, fabric conditioner, dishwasher tablets, cleaning
The washing machine is to the right of the sink. Normally we just use the 59 minute setting (top left on the dial). The washing tablets go in with the clothes
The tumble dryer is through the left door in the downstairs shower room. Normally 70 minutes should do it. Or use the clothes line outside, if it is a nice breezy sunny day! You shouldn't need to reset it, but the fusebox is also in there
The dishwasher is to the left of the sink. It is touch controlled. The left hand circle turns it on, the scale indicates how long to set it for. One hour is normally fine, (as above, showing 1:00 Hr). Once set, it starts when you close the door. When it is finished, the door opens
Feel free to explore and use anything you find. Plates and glasses are to the left of the sink, cooking pans under the hob, and pantry items above and to the right of the oven. If you can't find what you are looking for, just rummage around as it will be around somewhere
We have two ovens, both work exactly the same. The circle on the left turns the oven on, then use the controller (next picture) to set what you want
The top line allows you to set the mode you want to use (Circotherm is a regular fan oven, there is also a grill setting). You move between the modes using the left and right arrows. Pressing the down arrow takes you to the temperature, which you select with the left and right arrows too. You can move between the top and bottom lines with the up and down button. The arrow shaped button to the right of the display starts it all off
The hob has 4 zones and has an automatic fan extractor built in. Turning it on / off is the circle on the bottom left. You then select one or more off the zones, then set the temperature
There are four types of recycling bins we use
Blue bin - Cardboard and paper
Purple bin - Glass, tins, cans and plastic
Brown bin - Kitchen and garden waste. There are bags for the kitchen waste in the middle drawer next to the hob, on the left. There is a little bin we keep he kitchen waste in, next to the sink
Grey bin - Any other waste
There are bins we use at the end of the island for general waste, cans / plastic and paper / cardboard. There is a recycling calendar, showing what bins need going out on which week, stuck to the freezer. The correct bins need to be taken from the bin store (to the left of the front door) to the pavement outside the house on a Thursday evening
Hopefully it won't be too cold when you are here, but if so you can use this remote in the main living area. We refer to it as "the man in the house", as you need to select the man in the house icon to manually boost the heating if you are cold. Press it repeatedly to boost by 1, 2 or 3 hours. Once done, you can just set it to off (bottom left button). The hot water is on demand, so whenever you run the hot tap or take a shower it will fire up. If taking a shower downstairs, turn both switches at the door on, as the one on the left is the fan
There is a pharmacist in Kilmaurs, and a couple in Stewarton as well. They will be able to assist with ailments that are not serious. For something that is more serious, but not immediately life threatening, then call 111. For emergency it is best to go the accident and emergency (A&E) part of the nearest hospital (Crosshouse for here)
