About the Saltier Salter

As a child with a lot of curiousity and very little common sense Jamie grew up reading everything she could get her hands on and collecting crafts like some people collect action figures.  In her late teens she discovered Medieval reenactment through the Society for Creative Anacronysm and with it the ultimate hobby to collect new hobbies. It fed her desire to constantly learn new things and even helped her find some common sense along the way.

Twenty-five years later in 2020 not even Covid would stop this desire and she connected with groups around the world to continue learning new things. This included the Drachenwald Cooks guild to whom she is eternally grateful for a discussion on spices that inspired her ongoing salt journey. As she stood in the middle of a friends kitchen staring out at the ocean view she wondered "How hard can it be to make salt? " and dove down the first of many rabbit holes to her future.
