The LVF is a group of French Volunteers that serve as something like mercenaries. They serve whoever they seem fit to serve, and while they don't have the most amount of members, they have a dedicated and active force to this day.
To explain the long history of the LVF read the "L'Europe en Flammes"
L'Europe en Flammes From Paris to Sielona; The History of the LVF L'Europe en Flammes (Europe in Flames) is the memoir of Veteran Legionnaire Ominoussun's experiences in the Legion of French Volunteers since its formation up until the Czonian Campaign. Ominousson owes his allegiance to the LVF as a foundational member and elite infantryman from the first volunteer detachments raised, 'Traitor', and was a renowned war journalist before and throughout his service under the French flag. After being rotated out of a frontline anti-partisan role in the Legion, Ominousson took it upon himself to document the major campaigns undertaken from the LVF, from a neutral, war correspondent's report. This memoir was written alongside the cooperation of democratic and allied journalists, and provides a detailed, graphic historical account of both sides of the hard fought and controversial campaigns undertaken by the LVF, including soldier accounts, witness testimony, and diplomatic ramifications as a result of the LVF's campaigns of terror. The memoir has since been highly acclaimed by veterans across national and ethnic lines for its unfiltered and realistic portrayal of key historical events in post-modern RWW2, and remains a staple of the community and France's impact on the world of which it continues to wander.
