Octavium

Octavium, is one of the oldest and most successful nations within the RWW2 community. Lead by the influential and infamous leader "Aleczaender" it has endured through its many internal and external problems. Whether it be Supreme Command betraying them, or DMCA attacks, they have stood their ground and taken their role within the RWW2 history.

Foundations:

On September 19th, 1943 (2020), Octavia was formed under its official name; “Eternal Octavian Imperium” at a rallyhall located in the Alps of Eastern France. Octavia would control the lands of Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and southern France (Occitanie). This was following a General Staff coup led by the Marshal of the army of the time, Aleczaender Richterian. With Aleczaender and his adjutant, Oswald Chauvelen, who throughout Octavia, assisted Aleczaender in the organization of the General Staff and garrison of the army. Under Aleczaender’s Richterism, Aleczaender secured himself as absolute ruler. However, to secure the rest of the nation which occupied territories in France, as well as the “home-region” of Octavia in Occitanie, Aleczaender agreed to a deal with the Chancellor at the time, Alex Parsaville, and made him Supreme Chancellor. Alex would form the Authority, which despite being underneath the jurisdiction of Aleczaender’s Joint Marshals who governed Octavia, maintained a position equal to that of Aleczaender. Alex and Aleczaender were the de facto rulers of Octavia, as Supreme Marshal and Supreme Chancellor.


Golden Days:

Aleczaender established the Legion of French Volunteers (LVF) under Lakeland to rally French loyalists in Octavia, a nation rooted in both French and Spanish traditions. The LVF successfully fought off paramilitaries and resistance groups in Paris, including the anarchist-Carlists known as the Requestes. Aleczaender also forged a paramilitary force for the Catholic Church, the Reconquista (Inquisition), which helped eliminate troublemakers in Paris. Meanwhile, Oswald invaded England, capturing London. After a controversial incident involving the burning of a synagogue, a conflict broke out when Oswald opposed the Authority's interference in military matters. Though Oswald's side won, he was arrested, leading to his exile after refusing to submit to negotiations.

The Ocatvian Civil War:
On August 17th, 1945, Richard initiated "The Great Destruction," obliterating everything Aleczaender had built with the help of the Solum Dynasty. Afterward, Richard betrayed the Solums and fled into exile after a civil war led by Erick Richterian, aiming to restore Richterism. Spartan Richterian briefly took the throne, but Ethan Richterian later assumed power. Arxilium Richterian, returning from retirement, ousted Ethan, declaring himself Emperor of the Richterian Dynasty. Arxilium focused on rebuilding America and aiding Erick in creating the Greater Confederation, eventually seizing control and sparking a civil war over succession.

The Confederation collapsed, and Arxilium continued developing "Richteria" while Erick and others built a "Greater Richteria" in Germany. In 1948, Erick was overthrown by Ausie, who was soon replaced by Julius. Meanwhile, Paterick betrayed Arxilium to support Ausie and Julius, fearing Arxilium's plan to replace Aleczaender's ideals with "Iliumism." After several failed attempts, including the collapse of Germania, Paterick re-established Greater America and attacked Arxilium, eventually creating "The Zaenderist Movement" to rally support against him.

Paterick's forces defeated Arxilium, and after a final civil war involving Ausie, Lakeland's LVF, and the Imperial Prussian Confederacy, Paterick triumphed, taking Paris. He restored Octavia under his rule and, with his American Patriotist Front, reestablished true Richterist leadership in the region.
