A Surface Level

Basketball, as I used to see it on a surface level, is a sport that is dominated by taller players.

I believed that there was no way for me to beat, let alone compete with bigger players.

But as I participate in it more and more, it becomes much more apparent that basketball is not just a sport that only tall players dominate,

but rather a very fluid team sport.

of mobility, dexterity,

and a great

understanding

of the game

to simply be

good at it.

Example Of Being Great

One of the most well-known

rivalries I have discovered

in recent times in basketball

is between Stephen Curry

and Kyrie Irving.

Both are short in stature compared

to most of their teammates and

peers alike.

However,

both possess a talent

that sets them

apart from the rest.

For Steph Curry,

It is the consistency and

range of his 3-pointers.

This very distinctive talent

that he has perfected

has propelled him

into a champion,

along with being the

leader of 3-pointers

made in history.

In contrast, Kyrie Irving

IS also incredibly excellent at 3-point shooting,

That is not what he is most known for.

His most respected and loved skill

in basketball is his ability

to dribble the ball while maintaining

composure. In addition,

his vast knowledge of basketball,

fast ball recovery,

and tight-nitted dribbling

have made people

crown him as a wizard.

REVIEW

After looking into and playing basketball several times, I came to the conclusion that anyone could play basketball and not be able to play it at the same time. So I'd say it's a great sport to play by yourself or with friends.
