The QYou Drop-IN! is a safe and affirming space for all LGBTQ+ youth ages 11-20, held in the Center's Living Room on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3-7 PM. Virtual QYou Drop-IN! is held concurrently on Zoom from 4-5 PM.
But Our Virtual QYou Drop-IN is still held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30-5 PM.
To register for the Virtual QYou Drop-IN, please use the form on the left!
Please connect with Program Coordinators if you have additional questions about our COVID-19 safety guidelines, the in-person programming, or virtual Drop-IN.
Those coming for in-person Drop-In will gather in The Living Room from 3-4PM for games and socialization. There will be two program staff or volunteers present the whole time.
At 3:45PM, a program coordinator will set up OWL (a rotating camera and microphone) and open the virtual Drop-In meeting room on Zoom.
At 4:30 PM, check-in will begin. Folks in the Living Room will sit together and join the virtual friends on one screen. OWL will respond to whoever is speaking and rotate to show them on the shared screen.
The program coordinator on the screen or a designated QYou Ambassador will lead check-in.
Round 1 - Name/Pronouns/Ice Breaker: Virtual friends will go first, followed by all those in the Living Room.
Round 2 - Question Box: A Living Room friend will pick a question box question. They will share the question with everyone. Virtual friends respond first, than friends in the living room share their answer.
Round 3 - Positive Affirmations & Program Updates: Starting with virtual friends, everyone will go and share one positive affirmation they have about the days ahead. Once everyone is finished, a coordinator will announce program and center updates.
Update: Due to COVID-19 and significant changes in attendance, the QYou Houses are suspended until further notice.
Thank you for your patience during this challenging time!
