How do I track a package?
Packages are tracked by clicking on any tracking link provided, or going to PigeonShip.com or PigeonShip.ca and clicking TRACK PACKAGE and entering the tracking number.
Are packages being delivered with or with out communication to recipient?
-PigeonShip provides a tracking number for each package. When the package is in transit, the ( recipient will receive a text notification of the estimated time of arrival so long as the customers mobile number has been provided.
-Upon initial order, customer will also receive an email tracking from PigeonShip. An example of that email is here.
What is the policy if a package is safe dropped and then stollen/damaged?
-PigeonShip will insure packages up to $100 if the package is marked delivered and PigeonShip cannot provide the appropriate proof of delivery, such as picture confirmation or required signature. So long as sufficient proof has been provided that package was successfully delivered, PigeonShip will not cover stolen packages. If package contents are damaged, PigeonShip will insure contents so long as the package itself shows significant damage upon delivery compared to the condition upon pickup. Damaged contents within package will not be ensured so long as pickup condition of packages matches the condition of package at drop off.
When do Pigeon drivers leave package at the door versus not?
-Drivers always leave packages at the door unless otherwise specified or unless client requires signature. In addition, packages won't be left at door after 9pm.
What is the process a Pigeon driver follows when dropping off a package?
-Upon arrival to package destination, driver will scan and take a picture confirmation of the package on property of destination. Most pictures will contain the package on the doorstep with the address in sight. However, if the package on the door step and a visible address cannot be seen in the picture, a driver may hold the package next the the visible address and take a picture. Once complete, the driver will quickly knock and proceed to the next delivery.
When do they choose to try to redeliver?
If the driver is unsuccessful at the first delivery attempt, the driver will contact customer and attempt to self-resolve the situation, preventing a return. If the contact info is not available to the driver, or recipient unresponsive, the package will be returned by 12pm next day or earlier.
What makes a package undeliverable?
-Bad address
-Inaccessible entrance
-Potential danger
-Any reason driver feels may jeopardize the package if left.
What happens when a package is undeliverable?
-Driver notes the undeliverable package and returns it to the original pickup point.
What if customer doesn't provide contact info?
-Contact info, such as mobile numbers are not mandatory for the service, but offers an added tracking benefit. Emails can serve a similar benefit. So long as phone numbers (mobile) as passed, customer will be sent the tracking. So long as emails are passed, customer can also receive the tracking.
