Is designing a combined site with a nine-story hotel and a two-story senior center into a single multifunctional community hub in a rural area in Buan, Julpo-myeon, surrounded by rice fields and tidal flats, 20 km from the sea. A 28m x 10m canopy extends from the hotel's third-floor restaurant, creating a long platform where a marketplace will be set up. This canopy space will function as a community area where locals and tourists can interact, visit the market, access the hotel restaurant, or move toward the second floor of the senior center. The senior center's central staircase is open up to the canopy, allowing a pathway that leads to the restaurant via the canopy. The marketplace modules are located exclusively on the third-floor canopy and are not arranged along the staircase like Ssamziegil. The remaining areas will be designated for senior center programs. User plans to add market modules to the existing programs in the senior center, adjusting the number of market modules accordingly. User wants to identify the key spaces to showcase in the design of the senior center and hotel. The hotel design is being updated to make only the entrance and lounge areas open to the second-floor height, with a staircase from the lobby leading to the third-floor restaurant. The second floor will be added as a space for exhibitions and dessert areas. User is considering increasing the area of the senior center in their design to create a more harmonious and spacious layout with the added market along the central staircase. The design considers the flow of public spaces, such as the market, hotel, senior center, and lobby. The hotel will feature windows with views of the western sea and sunsets. The senior center will include a southern-facing curtain wall to allow abundant natural light, creating a warm and restful atmosphere for elderly residents. The project includes key features such as a canopy and market, skip-floor design for efficient spatial use, and sustainable, context-sensitive design elements. The design emphasizes connecting the hotel and senior center via the third-floor canopy market platform, encouraging interaction between residents and visitors while enjoying the scenic views. The site is designed to guide movement naturally from the first floor to the third-floor canopy market platform through skip-floor stairs in the senior center, prioritizing ease of vertical circulation to draw people to the canopy platform seamlessly. The third-floor canopy platform will also provide a shared space for locals and tourists to overlook Julpo's beautiful landscape.
