Original Composer: Hans Zimmer
This Cover: When arranging this piece, I tried to replicate the original as much as I could, but I could only come so close. Hans Zimmer is a stellar artist (no pun intended) and it is all but impossible to compare to him.
Original Composer: Koji Kondo
This Cover: I loved the orchestral simplicity of the original song and I wanted to capture that peaceful determination in this version. While I had no access to a wolf howl recording, I made do with the software I had.
Original Composer: Manaka Kataoka
This Cover: Inspired by cinematic scores, I fused the feeling of a movie with the stellar video game theme by Manaka Kataoka. While this piece is lacking some of the fullness of a true orchestra, I did my best.
Original Composer: Koji Kondo
This Cover: This version is officially titled "Terrible Fate-Part II (What Are You Hiding Behind That Curse?)'. It is a fusion of the song by Koji Kondo and a song I wrote inspired by the apocalyptic setting of the video game. I love the concept of Majora's Mask and I tried to capture it in this piece.
Original Composers: Hans Zimmer, Koji Kondo,
This Cover: This song, titled 'Stars x Storms', is a fusion of the famous theme from Interstellar and the not as famous 'Song of Storms' from Legend of Zelda. This piece blends their melodies and choruses to create an interesting mix.
Original Composer: Yasuaki Iwata
This Cover: This is not an orchestral version, and nor is it me playing the piano. Instead it is my duet arrangement as played by my computer. If you would like the sheet music for this piece, check out the 'Scores' page.
Original Composer: Manaka Kataoka
This Cover: This is another piece played by my computer. After listening to the original version several times (including certain sections in loops), I managed to pick out the rough score for this song. If you'd like to learn this song (more or less accurately), check the 'Scores' page.
Music is my hobby, and I especially love working out the score for my favorite songs. While there are other covers I have, some of them are kind of rough and not very pleasant to listen to. If I remember, I hope to add newer covers here as they roll out of my DAW.Â
What are some songs I hope to cover in the nearer future?
'Thunderbolts*' by Son Lux - from the movie of the same title.
'Kay Vess, The Outlaw' by Wilber Roget, II - the main theme from the video game Star Wars: Outlaws.
An Orchestrated 'Main Theme from Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild' by Manaka Kataoka.
And more! We'll see what I come around to.
