Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge to camp out or use the property?
No, we are not a business, so we don’t charge people to camp out or use the property, within reason. We are a family property and love sharing the beauty that God has granted us stewardship over. If however you behave inappropriately, you won’t be allowed to return.
Do we need to make reservations?
Yes, because of the limited occupancy, we do require reservations, so we know how many people to expect on any given day.
Can I use the property for just a day visit?
Yes, we love to have people come down and hang out, swim, picnic, hang up a hammock and just relax. Play in the creek, or drop a line in the river and see if you can catch a fish or 2. Just text us, or email a day or 2 in advance so we can plan space wise.
Can I use the range on the property?
Yes, the range is available, but you will need to meet with the owner in advance of use so you can be vetted and briefed to ensure safety rules are fully understood and followed. The maximum shooting distance is 200 FEET (Not yards).
Do you need to bring firewood?
No, Firewood is readily available on the property, so there is no need to bring any with you.
Do you fill up or have space limitations?
Yes, because of the limited size of the restroom facilities, it is possible we may reach capacity. If that happens, the website will be updated to indicate there is no space remaining for that weekend or day. We also have special events for organizations like Scouts, or churches and on those days, the group will be the only permitted users.
Do you have floats and water toys?
We have 2 canoes and 5 kayaks as well as life vests and paddles that are available on a first come first use basis. We also have several river tubes available for use. We do NOT reserve floats or boats. Whoever gets them first is who gets to use them. We ask that you stay fairly nearby when using the boats and kayaks unless we have discussed in advance a trip you plan to take.
