1- The terms and conditions herein shall govern any booking accepted by The Local Laundry Co through its website, phone, text, or email.
2- Any booking made through The Local Laundry Co's online ordering system will receive a written confirmation of its acceptance, including contact information. Bookings made via phone will be manually added to our system, and you will still receive confirmation.
3- Cancellations can be made up to 4 hours before The Local Laundry Co is scheduled to collect your laundry, with a $12.50 administration charge for cancellations made less than 4 hours before the scheduled collection time.
4- The Local Laundry Co reserves the right to cancel your order if an event beyond its control occurs, if you fail to make items available for collection, or if any item does not conform to your order, is damaged, lacks information on content or cleaning instructions, or falls outside accepted items.
5- While The Local Laundry Co will make reasonable efforts to pick up and deliver items at the specified times, it does not guarantee adherence to the schedule.
6- An invoice will be emailed once your laundry is sorted, and The Local Laundry Co will deliver your laundry upon payment receipt. The Local Laundry Co retains the right to withhold laundry until full payment is received.
7- Current pricing is available on the Laundry Services & Pricing page of the website. Items will be counted or sorted into loads after collection, with a minimum service fee of $60 per pickup.
8- Credit card or debit card payments are accepted via the online payment link in the invoice, with a 2.3% merchant fee added to all invoices. Alternative payment methods may attract an administration fee.
9- Failure to accept delivery at an agreed time incurs a redelivery fee of $12.50. Failure to accept delivery for over 30 days from the invoice date deems the item abandoned, and The Local Laundry Co may dispose of it at its discretion.
10- You may arrange for an item to be left in a safe place, collected by a third party, or re-delivered to a third party at your own risk. Written instructions to leave an item in an agreed location without signing for delivery will release The Local Laundry Co from liability after delivery.
11- If an item is damaged while in The Local Laundry Co's care due to its fault, a refund for the laundry service of that specific item will be provided. However, The Local Laundry Co is not responsible for items damaged or lost in the normal course of the laundry process.
12- The Local Laundry Co holds no responsibility for items lost or damaged due to the failure to remove various items, such as paper, tissues, pins, jewelry, coins, keys, pens, during the washing process.
13- The Local Laundry Co uses a warm washing and machine drying process, attempting to separate items into lights and darks. However, it assumes no responsibility for bleeding or color transfer during the laundry process.
14- The Local Laundry Co's service is not liable for loss of profit, business interruption, or business opportunity.
15- Special care requirements for items must be communicated to The Local Laundry Co. Failure to do so will result in washing according to care labels or normal laundry processes. Any advice or assistance provided by The Local Laundry Co relies on the accuracy and completeness of information provided by you.
16- The Local Laundry Co does not guarantee the removal of all types of stains and will provide stain removal treatment only if requested.
17- Accepting payment after the due date does not waive The Local Laundry Co's right to require timely payments or to suspend or terminate the terms.
18- Failure to pay any sum on the due date incurs a 15% per annum interest charge.
19- Default occurs if you do not pay as required or fail to comply with any other obligation under these terms. You agree to pay all costs and expenses incurred by The Local Laundry Co in exercising the terms and indemnify against any resulting losses.
20- The Local Laundry Co is in the process of registering as an NDIS Provider. For NDIS claims, provide your NDIS number at booking, and services are claimable under the Household Tasks registration group, item number 01_021_0120_1_1 – Linen Service. Inform of any plan changes affecting payment.
21- Disputes require written notice to The Local Laundry Co, specifying the nature, desired outcome, and necessary action for resolution. Both parties will attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith through negotiation.
22- The Local Laundry Co provides consumer guarantees as required by the Australian Consumer Law. All other terms, representations, warranties, guarantees, and conditions are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law, unless agreed in writing.
23- Personal information will be used to provide laundry services, process payments, and inform about similar products or services unless unsubscribed. Personal data will not be given to third parties other than engaged service providers.
24- The Local Laundry Co is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its control.
25- These terms constitute the entire agreement, superseding previous agreements.
26- The Local Laundry Co will not waive any right under the terms unless in writing.
27- The Local Laundry Co may assign rights or obligations under the terms without your consent.
28- Each clause operates separately; if struck out, the remaining clauses remain in effect.
29- These terms are governed by Australian law, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
