The Liver Research Laboratory is located at the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the Department of Biochemistry of the JSS Medical College, Mysuru. Ours is a young lab with curious minds working on various domains of liver health. We work on various aspects of liver metabolism, fatty liver diseases, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The lab's primary focus is to delineate and understand the preliminary cause and the molecular mechanisms that result in the pathogenesis of several liver diseases and synergize them to various metabolic activities of our body. We are also working on identification and characterization of several genetic and epigenetic biomarkers, associated with hepatocellular carcinoma with a special focus.
