Litter is a form of pollution involving the disposal of waste into the environment. It can come in various forms but the most commonly known type of litter is the garbage often seen on the side of the road in everyday life. In our story we will discover the varying types of litter, the negative effects they have on the enviorment, and possible solutions to this epodemic.
This type of litter refers to what is comonly reffered to as dumping or littering in everyday life. When people throw their empty plastic one-use water bottles out of their car windows or leave a store with a plastic bag that they just throw on the ground, that is littering. The improper disposal of garbage is still a widely spread issue despite the constant preaching in the media of the importance of recycling.
One-use plastic is pretty self explanitory, plstic than can only be used once and never again, lke a straw for example.
Essentially a good way to remember it is if it's manmade, you can't reuse it, and you disposed of it in nature or anyother place aside from a designated trash can or recycling bin.... it is litter.
