By booking and attending a class at The Liminal Studio, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure the safety, fairness, and enjoyment of all participants.
Your place is only secured once full payment has been received.
Class fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Please see our Cancellation Policy below.
Cancellations made more than 5 days before the course begins may be refunded, minus a small admin fee.
Cancellations made within 5 days of the start date are non-refundable unless your place can be filled.
We cannot offer refunds or make-up classes for missed sessions once the course has begun, unless privately negotiated over email.
Please arrive on time and be respectful of others in the space.
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by the teacher.
No smoking, alcohol, or disruptive behaviour is permitted in the studio.
Classes are for people aged over 15 years old. Please do not bring children under 15 years old to these classes unless specifically stated the class is for a younger age group.
Pottery involves the use of tools, materials, and kilns. By attending, you acknowledge these risks and agree to take reasonable care.
If you have any allergies, injuries, or mobility limitations, please inform us before the class begins.
All materials, tools, and firings are included in the course fee unless otherwise stated.
Your pieces will be bisque-fired and glaze-fired after the final class. This takes time — allow up to 2–3 weeks for collection.
Important: While every care is taken, kiln firings carry inherent risks. Cracks, glaze variations, warping, and loss may occur and are not the responsibility of the teacher or studio. These are a natural part of the ceramic process.
Finished work must be collected within 4 weeks of notification. Uncollected work may be disposed of or donated due to limited storage space.
From time to time, we may take photos during classes for promotional use. Please let us know if you do not wish to be photographed.
We aim to foster a supportive, inclusive, and respectful creative environment.
Any behaviour that disrupts this or places others at risk may result in removal from the class without refund.
The Liminal Studio, or the Paddock in Belmont, is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while on the premises, except where required by law.
If you have any questions or concerns before or during the course, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help you feel safe, supported, and inspired.
