Forbidden

The taboo, the forbidden, that which should not be named.  Kinksters have always been pushing the boundaries of what is socially acceptable, and although there is more acceptance and interest in alternate ideas that ever before, a certain perspective on kink relishes the engagement in things that others would consider off-limits.  Ageplay, raceplay, incest, religious play, non-consensual play, a wide variety of toys that may involve significant risk of personal harm... the list of potentially "Forbidden" topics is long.  This perspective is about the kinksters that enjoy exploring that forbidden space.  Kinksters with high scores in this perspective report "thrill" and "excitement" as primary feelings in their kink play, alongside a strong sense of defiance to social norms.

(Author's Note: One of the most common points of feedback I receive is about the list of potentially "forbidden" types of play on this page, and it usually says  "you should include THIS, but not THAT, under Forbidden!"  The important part here is not that a particular type of play is listed, but more that there are certain kinksters that like the thrill of doing one or more of those specifically because it is a taboo topic.)
