SLAM DUNK!
This costume was so much fun for myself and the learners in the school.
OH... You're taking a photo of me...
This was definitely an experience that I will never forget!

It was so cold the day of the Bay of Quinte Football Finals this Fall. I took some amazing photos of a sport I do not understand... That takes some skill...
In this picture are our great Raven TV volunteers who braved the cold to develop their skills!

I did not plan to be a part of Grade 8 Day but I am so glad I was. Getting 7 schools of Grade 8's sorted into several different rooms was a challenge that was conquered.
I loved working in the Your TV Cogeco truck with the Raven TV Club broadcasting Girls Basketball!
Fundraising is something that I am passionate about.
I am so happy to have had the privilage to help out with fundraising for the Fine Art and Digital Media programs at Eastside Secondary School.
This was taken on a Saturday at the Belleville Farmer's Market.

Students went out in the pouring rain and in their costumes to go into the community and collect non-perishable food items for the Gleaner's Food Bank.
They collected so much food that Gleaner's had to do two full trips!
So proud of these students!

This semester I asked the question, "Do exemplars improve student performance and achievement?"
On two of the back to back snow days, I spent my time in the shop making a CO2 car to show students what a Level 4 example looked like.
Working on the etched glass vinyl for the main office windows at Eastside Secondary School.
On the day all teacher's union members were on strike, my family spent it together on the picket lines in Belleville, Ontario. Left is myself representing OSSTF. Middle is my mother representing ETFO. Right is my sister representing OECTA.
Nothing delighted me more than to see three Co-Op students entirely focused on their project for the day... weeding vinyl for Valentienes Day.
Field Trips, whether it's for class or for an extra curricular group, they provide rewarding experiences that teach about technical aspects and inspire students to think about future career opportunities.
When starting an in-school buisiness, it is important to create samples on the same type of material that most 'customers' would have available to them.
Co-Op students gained valuble experience by making some great photography and video exemplars.
Here, they were making exemplars of shot types (ie. Close-Up, Medium Shot, Wide Shot)
When working in a Technological Education classroom, students need to be safe at all times.
In this photo, the student has no loose jewlery, has their hands far away from the sharp impliment, and making relief cuts.
Hands on practice is extremely important when working in Technological Education. It is important to send students out in to the school environment to practice what they have just learned in class. This is why I make sure I go around and check on the students while they are working.
Every class, I try my best to bring humour into my lessons. This helps make the classroom environment lighter and a lot less stressful for everyone.
