I think it is important to note that the original FRIENDS OF WILLIAM ALFRED, formerly available in the Brooklyn College Archives, was dismantled some years ago by CUNY. With it disappeared memoirs, lists of friends, and photos. With Rex Dean's help I built this site to try to make up for the loss of the original pages, which, by the way, had been generously funded by his friends. It came to about $7,000 and was never invested. I believe that CUNY is still sitting on that money. I like to think that some visitor here will be an attorney and fond of litigation.

The last I heard, Brooklyn College still has his collection of clocks.
