Worship is a communal element of our lives of faith - and community requires fellowship! At First Church, we endeavor to make our church a real community, complete with celebrations and laments, growing and learning, meditating and relaxing. Whether you're a member of the church or not, we hope you will join our community for one of our many fellowship events.
Here are just a few of the things we do throughout the year:
Bible Study
Reading the Bible is so important to our lives of faith, and there's an added richness when we read it with others. We discover new insights, we share how the text speaks to us, and we find what unites us - and what makes us each unique. All Bibles and Bible translations are welcome, and we have NIV Bibles to share if you don't have one.

SPRING / SUMMER 2025: 1 Samuel
We are currently in the middle of reading 1 Samuel, and it is a fascinating study of faithfulness to God - both for our personal lives, for a church, and for a nation. We hope you can join us at either our 2:00 or 6:00 session on Mondays.
Walking in Faith
"But [Jesus] walked... and went on his way" (Luke 4:30)
It doesn't get any clearer than that! When the weather gets nice, we grab our shorts, our walking shoes, and our sunglasses, and we hit the parks!
The First Church in Weymouth invites you to join us this summer for our "Walking in Faith" group. We meet every other Saturday at 9:00am at different parks in Weymouth (although Webb Memorial State Park is a favorite). We meet at the entrance, where our pastor leads us in hearing a passage from Scripture to guide us on our walk. We give thanks to God with a quick prayer, and then we get going!
Our group is fluid. We walk at different paces, with or without others, and some of us stick around afterward to go a second time. We invite you to join us in any capacity you feel comfortable with. You do not need to be a member of the church or even a resident of Weymouth, and we especially love having other churches join us for these walks.
