Introduction

The meme is a simplified and humorous form of communication commonly shared on social media and the internet. Memes can be an excellent tool to promote dialogue and form online communities due the nature of their online dissemination, and their power to go viral. This project repurposes popular internet memes as labels to reclassify library books in a new and imaginative way. Reorganizing online reading seminars with these popular memes as themes can break through the traditional way of reading and sharing. It can also promote friendly and in-depth online dialogue during the Covid-19 pandemic. The outcome of this project uses a famous meme — Kermit the frog (from the Sesame Street TV programme) as a method of book classification and an activity process.
