Public Speaking Engagements: My Reproductive Justice Workshops are an interactive way for people to learn, empower themselves, and develop advocacy skills. During my lessons people learn about the history of things like black maternal mortality, abortion access, and other reproductive health issues. We use past and present public health issues as a vehicle to learn through connection and strategize actions we can take to help everyone achieve reproductive freedom.

Client Review:
Aleigha is an extraordinary caregiver and professional. I tend to people-please, but Aleigha immediately made me feel at ease and assured me that they were there to support me and my baby through the birthing process. Aleigha answered all of my questions during the pre-birth home visit and was nice to my overly-friendly dog, which immediately built trust. During labor and birth, Aleigha served as my advocate, preparing me for what to expect and making sure I understood what was happening and what my needs were through every stage of the process. Aleigha helped to make me comfortable; Aleigha taught me positions and showed me movement that helped to alleviate the pain, and played music and talked with me when I needed distraction. During our first home-visit after birth, Aleigha helped me find a more comfortable nursing position so the baby could latch more easily. Aleigha texts me about any questions I have and comes to our visits prepared with options and answers. I feel incredibly supported working together and so grateful.
Dean Spade defines Mutual Aid as the radical act of caring for each other while working to change the world. It is vital that we learn how to optimize the ways that we rely on community. Having a child creates so many opportunities to do that work. So many parents accumulate so many things when they have kids. Little ones also grow and change rapidly so they may not need those items for very long. On top of that, it can be so difficult navigating so many parent groups and facilitating pick ups and drop offs. Here at Safe and Stable Co, we help our clients find and redistribute belongings. It helps make having a child more affordable, promotes sustainability, and helps get one more task off a parents plate.
Safe and Stable doula clients have free access to the mutual aid network and can fill out the form at any time. If you are interested in utilizing our doula services you can learn more about it below and book a free consultation. If you are only interested in joining the mutual aid group, please contact us via email to learn more.
