Monochromatic Still Life

In this assignment we used items from the same color palette. We took three images to demonstrate exposure levels and how it affects an image.

This project was fun to create. I didn't really know what I was going to shoot and started looking at the table I was sitting at. I realized that all of the tones were there to take pictures of one of the things I love most... coffee!

In reality I think the "standard" photo here is still a bit dark and the "overexposed" image came out much better. I was going for the very shallow depth of field in this shoot and feel it came out nicely in these pictures.
