A metal table frame and a gas tank were thrown on top of the charred remains of a fire pit.
The main quarry of the Crusher was littered with trash.
Propane tanks, Styrofoam coolers, and cardboard boxes could be seen discarded into the quarry.
Crates, bikes, and lumber littered the Crusher's pit.
This picture, taken on April 28, 2018, is of the clean-up hosted by Jake Gordon for his Eagle Scout Project. The group pulled out everything imaginable from bikes, to engine blocks.
The team hauled trash out with ropes from several different points around the quarry pit. On some of the bigger items, such as the dishwasher, it took several people pulling and pushing to get it out of the pit. The engine block took nearly twenty people to pull it up over the edge.
The photo on the left shows how the scouts accessed the quarry and pulled some of the trash out. On the right, you see a scout pulling up a trash bag with the rope. The bottom picture is of the scouts working down in the pit area.
The picture on the left shows trash being pulled out of the last section of the pit. On the upper right is the area surrounding the pit. The scouts can be seen hard at work, removing trash in the picture in the lower right.
By the end of the day, we pulled out: 4 bikes, an engine block, an axle, a vacuum, a mattress, 2 radios, an AC unit, a dishwasher, an over sized stuffed bear, 2 shopping carts, a lawn chair, 3 TVs, a computer, several coolers, tires, a tent, a propane tank, a table frame, an electric scooter, and 3 lead acid batteries. Along with dozens of bags full of smaller trash.
