A workplace where everyone is happy to be there and they trust, respect and look out for each other. Your Boss says "hello" everyday and sincerely asks you "how you are and if there is anything they can do to help you?". People know their roles and how they will be contributing to the success of the team. Targets are clear and the plan to get there is shared with the team. The team is able to adapt to unforeseen problems and thrives on change and continuous improvement.
Your leader leads by example, shares the vision, embraces change and helps others through it, enables others to grow and focuses on making everyone succeed. (1)
Being a supervisor comes with many responsibilities, duties and expectations. One of the most critical roles in any organization, and yet supervisors can often receive little training or formal education to help prepare for or improve in the role.
This series of 2-day workshops is designed for both technical and non-technical leaders as well as those seeking to influence others without authority (Engineers, Tech Support, Team Leads, Supervisor, Project Managers, and Managers). It will focus mainly on the people side of leadership while ensuring the participants clearly understand the links to effective safety and productivity in a team environment.
Participants will be introduced to 4 situational leadership approaches, tools focused on developing team trust and respect, conflict management, individual and team performance management, a coaching and mentoring model, the basics of change management and tips to improve communication and facilitation skills.
The goal is to provide the student with the confidence and practical hands-on tools required to lead effective teams. These workshops can be supplemented with onsite coaching and mentoring.
