SMART Goal: Art ProjectÂ
Create a community art project made of plastic glitter and resin to raise awareness about the harms of plastic glitter and other microplastics in partnership with the Anchorage School District and Anchorage Museum with the art piece completed by the end of May 2026.

SMART Goal: ASD Policy Change
Have the ASD School Board pass a resolution that bans the purchase of plastic glitter in the school district with environmentally friendly glitter being an acceptable alternative by end of January 2026.

SMART Goal: Teacher Kits
To gain support from teachers by providing kits with educational materials and samples to emphasize the importance and feasibility and ask teachers to support the proposed policy change (by writing letters of support, petitions, and attending the January school board meetings) by the end of November 2025.
SMART Goal: Documentary
Create a documentary that is less than ten minutes long to inspire others to take action and raise awareness about the project by May 2026 and find at least two ways to share the documentary.
SMART Goal: Girl Scout Workshop
Facilitate a workshop on November 22nd where Girl Scouts can earn two badges, one for the Troop 436 BioGlitter Initiative and one for Governance, in order to raise awareness and enlist Girl Scouts and their families to change ASD policy by asking them to come to the school board meeting and write letters in January 2026.
