I did the recommended update today and began having problems with Audition. I needed to resize the window and it kept crashing. So I went to the CC app and reverted to the prior version. And then all my presets and preferences were gone. I then updated again and the resizing works fine, but my preferences are still gone.

Thanks. That is very helpful. I had actually done screen shots of my presets, so I was able to recreate them. I'm a bit confused though. If I save a custom preset, like a Hiss Reduction Process, that is saved as part of the application settings xml file and not the presets?

This thread was referring to Audition CC. Audition 3 had a completely different method of saving customised settings. So none of the info above applies I'm afraid. However a re-installation of AA3 would bring back all the default FX and presets that are normally available. Custom settings will have disappeared for ever though.

I think the problem is you are trying to use presets in waveform editing, but they are a multitrack process. The presets you just open and then drop audio into individual tracks - those tracks have all the effects added on. You will need to shift from waveform editing to work inside multitrack to take advantage of them. Some useful videos from Mike on working inside multitrack here: The Difference Between Waveform Editor and Multitrack Editor - Adobe Audition Tutorial - YouTube

This is because we likely upgraded our Adobe Audition via the Creative Cloud app. You have to do an uninstall and fresh install to get new presets which is not ideal but let me check if there may be a more elegant way to do this.

Durin also added that these are just general presets and that most recordings will benefit from custom level values, either through the Find Levels button, or by checking the signal levels during playback.

I tried to get the downloads of your presets and I followed directions but I never got the email that you told me to look for. I tried it a couple of time and still no email. Can you please help me with this problem.

Thank You

Hey guys..I just jumped back in to Audition after a few months break. I'm working on a song and i've noticed that most of my reverb presets are missing. Specifically, Full Reverb, Studio Reverb, and Reverb, no longer allow me to select a preset, and also show the exact same editing window when i pull them up. I've linked a pic for exactly what i'm talking about. Can anyone help??

One of the standout features, undeniably, is the ability to use and customize vocal presets. These presets, essentially a collection of predefined settings, have revolutionized the way sound engineers and producers approach vocals. Instead of fumbling through a maze of equalizers, compressors, and reverb settings, professionals and hobbyists can now apply presets that instantaneously elevate the quality of vocal recordings. Especially in a software as sophisticated as Adobe Audition, vocal presets not only simplify the audio editing process but also ensure consistency and a touch of professionalism to any project. In essence, they are the bridge between amateur recordings and studio-quality output, underlining their significance in the realm of audio production.

Now, when we narrow down to vocal presets, they operate under the same principle but specifically address the unique challenges and nuances of human vocals. The voice, being an intricate instrument, has a broad spectrum of frequencies, from the low bass notes to the high-pitched trebles. Vocal presets streamline the process of enhancing and modifying these frequencies. They can elevate a flat, lifeless recording into a vibrant, radio-ready track. By employing a mix of compressors, equalizers, reverb, and sometimes even subtle distortion, vocal presets shape the raw vocal input, giving it clarity, depth, and presence.

Quick Workflow: Instead of manually configuring settings for every new project, recording templates with embedded vocal presets expedite the setup. This means less time fiddling with controls and more time focused on the creative process.

Music Albums: When producing an album, artists aim for consistency across tracks. By using a specific set of presets within a chosen recording template, they can achieve uniformity in vocal treatments across all songs.

But where does one find such high-quality, finely tuned presets? Look no further than BCHILL MUSIC. We understand the intricacies of music production and the value of pristine sound quality. Our range of Adobe Audition vocal presets and recording templates is meticulously crafted to meet the needs of recording artists, engineers, and producers, be they beginners or seasoned professionals.

Adobe Audition has a number of presets. From basic ones that increase the recording level to those that add an eccentric touch to your audio. Examples include telephone presets that make your audio sound like a phone call or a radio preset that mimics the sound playing on the radio.

Presets are great for quick edits. They are especially useful if you are editing a number of recordings. They also help consolidate a few actions. Using presets, you can apply a number of effects with just a few clicks. Without them you would have to go through a step-by-step process of modifying several different settings. You would essentially be applying every effect individually.

In addition to the presets that already exist you can also save self-made ones that you may use in future edits. You can also get some provided by experienced audio and podcast editors over the internet. These include free and premium (paid) presets.

This preset is very beneficial in minimizing sibilance in your audio file. On the drop-down list of the presets, they are two separate ones: DeEss and Voice Limit Female Voice Over and DeEss and Voice Limit Male Voice Over.

When adding presets to an audio file there are three stages. There is the initial stage where you have not added any effects, the next stage is the moment you add the effects and the final stage is when you apply the effects to your file. The second stage is a temporary stage where you have not finalized what you intend. You only get to listen back to how the audio sounds. This is like a preview phase where the effects are applied only when you click the apply button after.

Some of the presets that are present in the dropdown list will have a higher latency therefore it is advisable to hit the apply button after to maximize playback. Since a preset is made up of a number of effects Adobe Audition highlights the particular effect that will be CPU intensive or the high latency effect in a red color.

Sometimes when you preview an unapplied presets you might notice that the effect is not perfect hence need readjustments. For instance, a Podcast Voice preset might have a strong noise reduction effect to an extent that it not only affects the background noise but also part of your speech. 17dc91bb1f
