About

Hi, I'm Lee Keller.  I was in education for 41 years and now I'm retired... and riding.  But 360Bikers has a history.

360Bikers has been a lot of things over the years.  It started in 2003 as an auction site for bikes and bike parts.  It never really got off the ground and soon turned into a local riding group in SoFla.  At one point it had nearly 300 members and starting in 2008 had an annual "Big Ride", usually with starting points in California where we flew there and rented from a great mom-and-pop operation.

For three years it was associated with a charity we created with riders in the group to become the website for the 360Bikers Foundation, Inc.  The organization was dismantled and it became a riding group site again.  When I moved to Tennessee it became almost exclusively about the "Big Rides", where we typically went to great riding areas of the country.

In the upcoming years 360Bikers will transition back to SoFla as Scott Saunders has stepped up to take this over as I phase out of riding.  I'm old and the miles haven't been kind.  Scott has great leadership skills and loves riding all over.  He'll be a great leader and I'll still be around to help as needed.  Look for Scott's rides to begin appearing in 2024.

My rides are typically not about going somewhere and spending a few days exploring.  My focus has always been on seeing as many places as possible given the context of the ride.  Rides typically have different goals looking for different features, but they always focus on seeing spectacular places in North America.  Sometimes we pick a base and do spokes from there to make rides.

It's not uncommom for me to get questions like "what is 360Bikers" and "what do rides cost?"

The rides have always been free.  Ok, not totally.  You have always paid for your own gas, tires and oil, your accommodations and your food, but you don't pay me anything.  It's more like you can tag along with me on a ride I created.  There's no charge in that.  The rides are always multiple days and go all over the country, as you can see by the links.  I have a problem.... I love planning rides and seeing the eyes open for people that go on them.  It's what I love to do.

Do you have to ride a motorcycle?  NO! The rides are open to all vehicles, but they are designed to be fun riding scenic places.  Very few prohibit certain vehicles.  RVs over 26' are prohibited on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park due to narrow roads and sharp turns.

So, if you have any questions.  Just let me know.
