This section presents a comparative analysis of three AI tools—ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity—used during the redesign of the Eco Recreational Centre. The aim is to evaluate how each AI contributes to different aspects of architectural design, including environmental performance, spatial planning, material and structural strategies, and overall project improvement.
By comparing the strengths, focus areas, and suggested improvements from each AI, the analysis highlights how AI can support decision-making, enhance creativity, and guide sustainable design solutions. The selected approach combines insights from all three tools to optimize functionality, environmental efficiency, and user experience in the final design.
AI prompts were used to refine design directions, explore layout options, and evaluate sustainability strategies. Example prompts included:
"Suggest passive cooling strategies for tropical climates integrated into a recreational centre."
"Reorganize circulation and zoning for community engagement along a water feature."
"Propose materials and roof design for natural ventilation and solar energy efficiency."
Concept Enhancement – AI helped refine the project concept into a clearly defined framework: “Sustainable Eco-Landscape Recreational Hub.”
Spatial Exploration – Iterative AI-generated layouts explored zoning, circulation, and functional hierarchy.
Visual Development – AI-assisted visualizations allowed evaluation of atmosphere, materiality, and landscape integration.
Iterative Refinement – Final design decisions were evaluated against AI outputs to ensure functionality, sustainability, and realism.
