CSA Education(UDL)
On this page I posted some of my sample work I transformed from my original assignments. Some of the educational technology tools that I used were Google Doc, Google Slides, PodBean, Canva, Kahoot, and YouTube. The work that I made are transcripts, slides, a podcast, an infographic, a quiz, and a video.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a learning model idea made up of the principles of Multiple means of Representation, Multiple means of Engagement and Multiple means of Action & Expression. This means that educators should present information to students in multiple ways, so students have many choices on how they can engage in the class and they can show their knowledge in a variety of ways.
By using Educational Technology tools, all kinds of learners such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile learners can succeed in their learning.
For this UDL application exercise I created a transcript and added captions for the video on the left going through the Raz-Kids tool using the educational tool Otter.
Otter is a tool which analyzes an audio file and generates a rough transcript so you can make captions and accurate transcripts faster.

For this UDL application exercise I created a presentation on the tool Raz-Kids using Google Slides.
Google Slides is a fantastic tool for making slideshows to present that is entirely online and can be used on many devices including tablets and phones.
Slideshow presentations like those made in Google Slides can make using multimedia to engage your students and express knowledge to them easy.
For this UDL application exercise I created a podcast about the tool Raz-Kids in PodBean.
Podbean is a tool that makes creating and managing podcasts and their episodes much easier than managing them on your own website directly.
Having this tool to easily create an auditory learning environment is useful and can help many students learn better than when the have to read most of the information they are taught.
For this UDL application exercise I created an infographic using the tool Canva that is based on my Technology Exploration and Analysis project about home gardening.
Canva is a tool that lets you make a wide variety of visual creations. It allows for making presentations, infographics, cards, and more.
Good infographics make for great wall decorations in a classroom since they are visually appealing and draw students' attention to the information on them that you want them to remember. Being surrounded by this information when they need is a good way for students to test their memorization skills while keeping them engaged in the class.
For this UDL application exercise I created a simple online quiz using the tool Kahoot that is based on my home gardening PowerPoint.
Kahoot is a tool that lets you make fast-paced quizzes where a presenter displays questions to the players from their computer and the players hit a button corresponding to the right answer.
The interface is simple for both creators and players, and along with the up-beat music that plays during the quiz sessions, the simple to understand system, and the competition with their peers, students are kept highly engaged and more interested in the material.
For this UDL application exercise I created a video that is based on my project about home gardening and published it using the tool YouTube.
YouTube is a tool that primarily lets you share your video creations with many other people on the internet as well as live stream content to audiences.
Videos are excellent for teaching because they provide both an image and auditory information for students to focus on, and it keeps them more engaged with lessons.
