As part of my job as an EA, I want to make content more accessible for my students. Students with conditions such as blindness, poor vision, deafness, poor hearing, physical exceptionalities, seizures or cognitive exceptionalities have extra difficulty using the internet. I considered people who use screen readers, alternative keyboards and mouse, speech recognition software, and braille readers or writers while making this website. By doing this, everyone who uses these tools will feel included and supported, no matter the condition they have, and comfortable seeing and navigating my site with the tools they have.
I have added Alt Text to my pictures to help people who use screen readers, since those tools will skip over images that do not have alt text.

I have added headings that have large text for main headings and orange text that is larger than body text to subheadings to help people and assistive software that helps with navigation with finding the sections they want, and always kept subheadings below headings. The change in font size allows software to tell the difference between headings, subheadings, and body text.
This website uses the Open Sans and Oswald fonts to make reading simpler than when using fonts like Papyrus, which people might find difficult to understand. Bold and italics are not used either, since people using reading software will not be told that information by their software.
The website uses plain white for the background and primarily black text to make sure that there is enough contrast between them, also applied readability change, since a lack of contrast can make reading the contents of a website difficult.
Instead of typing the numbers on a list, I used the bulleted list feature. I have avoided using numbered lists and used bulleted lists to make screen readers more effective at reading a page.
I have included hyperlinks in both images and simple text to make them more descriptive for users without screen readers and so users with screen readers will receive a list of links to important pages.
I have made closed captions and transcripts for each of the videos on the website for people who have difficulties understanding the audio.
