Prior to entering the education sector, I worked for almost 10 years in the insurance industry. Reading policy manuals, advising customers of products and provisions navigating insurance features and benefits developed my knack for administration.  As a property and casualty sales agent, licensed in multiple states and winning various monthly promotional contest  became a top insurance writer. As a retirement insurance agent, I advised customers of retirement plans, withdrawal provisions and financial code written by the securities and exchange commission. Both types of insurance business require the ability to operate various databases and learn processes that are a part of underwriting business. No one is successful without providing world class customer service!
