How to teach past tense thourgh “yesterday” song 

1. Asking student to dicede verb 1 and verb 2 in the text ( in the 2nd and 4th lyric )

2. Asking the students what is the verb agreement between present tense and past tense 

3. Inviting student to review the lyrics “yesterday” and identify where is present tense and past tense 

4. Giving example student about present tense and past tense verbal and nominal sentence 

5. Assingning student to translate in verbal sentence “ aku bermain bola kemaren “ ( i played football yesterday ) and aku ” membaca buku setiap hari “ ( he reads book everyday ) and translate in nominal sentence “ kita rajin “ ( we are dilligent ) and “ kita dulu rajin “ ( we were dilligent )
