It is with pleasure that I am addressing you in order to invite you to attend the 26th Taiwan Forum on Sociology of Education.

The call for papers is now open.

Please, put down the dates 8th and 9th of May 2020 in your calendars. The 26th Taiwan Forum on Sociology of Education will take place at the National Chung Cheng University which is hosting the event, and its theme will be about Globalization and the related and/ or interconnected educational challenges. There are 7 areas of focus that cover a wide spectrum of topics that scholars of sociology of education may position their academic work.

Apart from the main hosts this Forum is co-hosted by the Ministries of Education and Science and Technology of Taiwan as well as by a number of Institutions of Taiwan such as the Department of Education of the National Taiwan Normal University, the College of Education of the Chinese Culture University, the College of Education of the National Chung Cheng University, the Center for Teacher Education of the National Chung Cheng University and the College of Education of the National Chi Nan University.

I am particularly delighted that the 26th Taiwan Forum on Sociology of Education has been designated as a Mid-Term conference of the Research Committee on Sociology of Education of the International Sociological Association (RC04, ISA). Judging from my experience in attending the 2019 conference I am certain that the upcoming Forum will be a great success.

So, I am looking forward to meeting all of you at the National Chung Cheng University in May in order to listen to innovative presentations and exchange stimulating ideas about this exciting topic.
