Temasek Polytechnic - Creating Tomorrow 

Established in 1990, TP is one of the leading institutions of higher learning in Singapore. Currently it offers 36 full-time diploma courses in the areas of applied science, business, design, engineering, humanities & social sciences and informatics & IT. It also offers over 40 part-time courses, up to the advanced diploma level. TP students undergo a holistic learning system that combines hands-on experience, character education and relevant life skills, in an enriching learning environment.

The Polytechnic has also infused global realities into its programmes and developed a mindset on campus that embraces socio-cultural diversity. The Glocal Connect Village (GCV) was launched by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 23 November 2012 as an icon of Temasek Polytechnic’s internationalisation strategy. The aim of GCV is to stimulate among local students and community members a global mindset, provide global experience, foster global partnerships, and promote the global branding of the institution. The GCV is a physical ‘connecting place’ for Temasek Polytechnic staff and students, as well as local and international partners.

This is where the world comes to TP and TP goes out to the world. The GCV has a portal that serves as a platform for performances and interactions, an Art Gallery, and classrooms. In addition, it has fifty residential learning spaces for TP students and international exchange programmes. 

TP’s International Relations Department supports the enhancement of staff capability development, student learning experience and graduate employability in order to achieve what we term as the “4G” outcomes. These outcomes, each one echoing our global outlook, are:

• Inculcating a Global Mindset in our staff and students

• Giving them an enriching Global Experience

• Forming Global Partnership with industry

• Establishing a strong Global Branding for TP

We offer overseas students internship programmes, international training programmes, and exchange programmes.
