I am currently an assistant professor of Statistics at the University of South Carolina. I joined the Department of Statistics in 2022. Right after, I earned my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the supervision of Professor Jun ZHU. I received my B.S. and M.Phil. in Statistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I worked with Professor Chun Yip YAU. In addition, I also spent one year at Michigan State University for the Ph.D. program in Statistics. I also worked as a government statistician for two years, human resource analyst for 7 months, and other internships.
My research concerns the development of novel methodologies for data with dependence and big volume, with theoretical soundness and computational feasibility ensured through different tools and techniques from various fields of science. I also work on various projects related to spatial and spatiotemporal statistics, environmental statistics, statistical applications in public health, and statistical consulting.
Please contact me if you are interested in a potential collaboration.
